Kevin runs the day-to-day operations of Wishrock from the Portland, ME, office, and oversees and manages the firm’s finance and asset management teams. He helps set priorities and implements strategies with his team members both within the existing Wishrock portfolio and on new acquisitions – setting policy and creating procedures to improve workflow efficiency. He also manages Wishrock’s risk management program and human resource functions. In addition to these executive functions, Kevin asset manages a portfolio of Wishrock’s LIHTC and investment assets.

Kevin has over 20 years of experience in the affordable housing industry.  He brings a thorough understanding of multifamily housing programs including Tax Exempt and 501c(3) bonds, Federal HOME funds, Low Income Housing Tax Credits and 1602 funds.  He has a comprehensive understanding of the operational budgets of affordable housing projects, including cash flows, operating expenses and various debt structures.

Kevin got his start as a property manager overseeing a portfolio of Rural Development, Low Income Housing Tax Credit and HUD assisted properties.  In 2000, Kevin joined the Maine State Housing Authority (MaineHousing) as an Asset Manager and then Senior Asset Manager.  As Asset Manager, Kevin directly oversaw and monitored a portfolio of HFA funded, multifamily housing projects and was involved in all aspects of asset management including reviewing operating budgets and audited financial reports, physical condition standards and debt restructures.  As Senior Asset Manager, Kevin was designated as the agency’s compliance lead for the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program.

In 2008, Kevin was promoted by MaineHousing to Portfolio Manager.  In this position, Kevin supervised a team of asset managers as they fulfilled asset management and compliance responsibilities for the agency’s entire multifamily portfolio of nearly 18,000 units and over 1.2 billion in loans.  Kevin was instrumental in assisting the agency to develop new risk strategies and implementing creative debt restructure programs, which resulted in the long term preservation of many units in the State.

Kevin has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine at Farmington.
