As President and member of Wishrock’s Executive Committee, Bryan oversees Wishrock’s operations from its Portland, ME, office. Working with the company’s Executive Vice President, and in consultation with the firm’s Chairman, he sets company strategy and priorities, provides leadership and direction to team members and coaches staff as they develop and manage the Wishrock portfolio. He plays a senior advisory role on new development transactions and leads development teams from to time. Bryan is a recognized leader in the affordable housing industry.
Before he entered the field of affordable housing, Bryan used his training in Economics and Statistics to perform complex financial and economic analysis of regulatory issues at a Washington, DC‐based consulting firm. He then pursued his interest in regulatory matters by earning two masters degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT): one in City Planning (MCP) and one in Real Estate Development (MSRED).
Bryan currently serves as a member of the Scarborough (Maine) Housing Alliance (in the past he served as Chairman) and he serves on the Board of Directors of the Scarborough Education Foundation. He is also the past Co‐Chair of the MIT/CRE New Visions Campaign and a former faculty member of the CityVision program at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC.
He is a graduate of the University of Rochester and the MIT School of Architecture & Planning.
