Tyson O’Connell is a developer for Wishrock Housing Partners and Investment Group. He leads project teams and is responsible for structuring value add and tax credit rehabilitation projects, identifying and implementing financing tools, long-range operational forecasting and budgeting, and investor relations. Tyson works closely with investors, financing partners, architects, engineers, and community members.
Tyson holds a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Economics and Sociology from Macalester College and received his Law degree with honors from the University of Montana School of Law.
Tyson’s blended background in economics, finance, sociology, real estate and employment law, and construction management enable him to structure complex real estate transactions, and build strong partnerships that continue throughout the construction and operations of the project. Prior to joining Wishrock, Tyson practiced law at Garlington, Lohn & Robinson in Missoula, where his practice included real estate and property litigation, land use issues, construction litigation, and employment law.
Tyson currently serves on the Missoula United Way’s Development Committee. He has traveled extensively as an outdoor writer and photographer and has published articles and photography in numerous outdoor magazines, newspapers, and legal journals.
